  • What can I expect when coming to therapy?

Initaing therapy is a courageous act. Therapy is a space to explore oneself, with the support of a professional who is trained to support you through the journey. As an art therapist, I will encourage you to explore with art, however I am trained in talk therapy, and am able to utilize that method if it feels like the better fit. Therapy is a relationship where two people care about one person. It is unlike most relationships in one’s life, but it provides us with an outlet explore, try on different hats, and create new perspectives for ourselves.

  • I do not identify as an artist, why should I try art therapy?

There is an artist in each and every one of us. The way that we express ourselves creatively is not defined by pencil marks on paper. As an art therapist I provide a range of materials and mediums in which you can explore, and find what makes you feel the most creative and “yourself.”
